Prize for the best Master’s thesis in Economics and for the best Master’s thesis in Management and Administration of Portuguese firms

In partnership with the Francisco Manuel dos Santos Foundation, the Banco de Portugal awards a prize for the best Master’s thesis in Economics every two years. This year it will also start awarding the best Master’s thesis in Management and Administration of Portuguese firms. An external panel of juries chooses these theses.

The prizes are awarded at the Conference on Portuguese economics in the European context, held by the Banco de Portugal.

Through the José da Silva Lopes Prize, the Banco de Portugal aims to promote and recognise merit in preparing economic studies, a core field for its mission.
