THE PORTUGUESE ECONOMY WILL CONTINUE TO GROW AT A PACE CLOSE TO 2% AND TO CREATE JOBS
Until 2026, the economy will grow at a pace close to potential and above that of the euro area.
Exports will help support activity. Tourism will remain dynamic, although less so than after the pandemic.
Investment will benefit from the implementation of projects backed by European funding.
Firms will continue to create jobs, in a scenario where foreign workers have eased hiring difficulties.
PRICE GROWTH WILL RETURN TO 2%, AS IN THE EURO AREA
Price pressures, including firms’ costs and profits, are expected to be more subdued.
Inflation will decrease further and stabilise at close to 2% from the beginning of 2025 onwards.
