Today, Banco de Portugal publishes statistics, in Table A.25 of the Statistical Bulletin and in BPstat, on issues of debt securities and shares for September 2019.
In September 2019 net issues (gross issues minus redemptions) of securities by residents totalled about €0.5 billion. This figure results mainly from positive net issues of debt securities by financial corporations (Charts 1 and 2).
The outstanding amount of securities issued by residents totalled €461.6 billion, i.e. €1.9 billion more than in August (Chart 3). This increase was mainly due to the valuation of listed shares of non-financial corporations (Chart 4).
