In November 2020 net issues (gross issues minus redemptions) of securities by residents were negative by €25 million. This figure results mainly from negative net issues of government debt securities, by €1.2 billion. On the other hand, net issues of securities by financial and non-financial corporations were positive, by €0.8 billion and €0.3 billion, respectively. (Charts 1 and 2).

The outstanding amount of securities issued by residents totalled €479.1 billion, €5.8 billion more than in October (Chart 3). This increase was chiefly due to the increase in the market value of non-financial corporations shares by €4.8 billion. (Chart 4).
