Today, Banco de Portugal publishes statistics, in Table A.25 of the Statistical Bulletin and in BPstat, on issues of debt securities and shares for November 2019.
In November 2019 net issues (gross issues minus redemptions) of securities by residents totalled about €0.2 billion. This figure results mainly from positive net issues of securities by monetary financial institutions (Charts 1 and 2).
The outstanding amount of securities issued by residents totalled €460.8 billion, €2.5 billion less than in October (Chart 3). This decrease was chiefly due to the devaluation of general government debt securities (Chart 4).
