Today, Banco de Portugal publishes statistics, in Table A.25 of the Statistical Bulletin and in BPstat, on issues of debt securities and shares for June 2019.

In the first half of the year, net issues (gross issues minus redemptions) of securities by resident entities totalled €1.6 billion. This figure results mainly from positive net issues of shares (Charts 1 and 2).

The balance of securities issued by residents totalled €466.8 billion, which corresponds to a half-yearly increase of €14.8 billion (Chart 3). This increase was chiefly due to the valuation of general government debt securities and of listed shares issued by non-financial corporations (Chart 4).
