Banco de Portugal warns that the lending services published through the Facebook Profile pages under the designation Polónio Serviços (available at https://www.facebook.com/Polonio-servi%C3%A7os-100446355729327, with the email adress  poloniobank@gmail.com), “Maria Serviço” and “Maria serviço ampréstimo” (available through the links https://www.facebook.com/Maria-servi%C3%A7o-101616135171527 and https://www.facebook.com/Maria-servi%C3%A7o-ampr%C3%A9stimo-102327185331718, using the email address mariaservicoemprestimo@gmail.com and the phone number 926773932), as also the entity acting under the name “Maria Manuela Afonso”, do not belong to any entity authorised to carry out, in Portugal, financial activities subject to the supervision of Banco de Portugal, such as lending.

The activities of lending, as set forth in Article 4 (1) (b) of the Legal Framework of Credit Institutions and Financial Companies (approved by Decree-Law No 298/92 of 31 December 1992), may only be performed by authorised undertakings, as laid down in Article 10 of the above said Legal Framework.

The lists of undertakings authorised to carry out lending activities are available on Banco de Portugal’s website.”
