The Banco de Portugal to exchange Croatian kuna banknotes for euro from 1 January to 28 February 2023
Croatia will adopt the euro on 1 January 2023.
Following this accession, the Banco de Portugal will exchange Croatian kuna (HRK) banknotes for euro at the fixed conversion rate – HRK 7,5345 per €1 – from 1 January to 28 February 2023.
Croatian kuna banknotes can be exchanged free of charge on business days from 08:30 to 15:00, at the following customer service desks of the Banco de Portugal:
Lisbon cash office (R. do Comércio, 148);
Porto Branch cash office (Pç. Liberdade, 92);
Faro Agency (Pç. D. Francisco Gomes, 12);
Açores Regional Delegation (Pç. do Município, 8, Ponta Delgada);
Madeira Regional Delegation (Av. Arriaga, 8, Funchal).
The Banco de Portugal may exchange up to a maximum amount of HRK 8,000 per person/day.
