Special Data Dissemination Standard (SDDS)
The Special Data Dissemination Standard (SDDS) is a set of standardised statistical indicators developed by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) with a view to enhancing transparency, integrity, timeliness and statistical data quality.
The SDDS provides information on: macroeconomic data, dissemination practices, data policy revisions and methodologies underlying the preparation of statistical data.
The statistical data for Portugal are compiled by the Ministry of Finance (DGT - Directorate General for the Treasury and Finance, DGO - Budget General Directorate, and IGCP - Portuguese Treasury and Government Debt Management Agency), Instituto Nacional de Estatística – INE (Statistics Portugal), Euronext and Banco de Portugal.
