International banking statistics on a consolidated basis

For national banking groups:

• External assets on a consolidated basis, vis-à-vis the immediate debtor, broken down by sector and country of residence of the counterparty and by residual maturity of the underlying assets; and
• External assets on a consolidated basis, vis-à-vis the debtor of last resort, with an additional breakdown by sector and country of residence of the counterparty and including other risk exposures.

For non-resident branches and subsidiaries of a banking group:

• External assets from the perspective of immediate risk, on an individual basis, broken down by sector and country of residence of the counterparty and by residual maturity of the underlying assets.

These statistics are compiled on a quarterly basis, in accordance with the requirements and methodologies defined by the Bank for International Settlements (BIS).
